The book I return to every year.
There’s one book I’ve been coming back to since high school.
And every time I read it, it speaks to a different part of me.
That book is Tuesdays with Morrie.
It’s the story of a man spending every Tuesday with his former college professor as he nears the end of his life. But what it’s really about is this:
💭 What matters when everything else is stripped away?
💭 What do we chase that doesn’t actually fulfill us?
💭 And what would it look like to slow down and just… be enough?
Page after page, Morrie shares wisdom not from a place of perfection—but from experience, vulnerability, and the kind of clarity that only comes when you realize time is limited.
And it hits me every single time:
We live in a world that teaches us to run faster, do more, chase "success."
But Morrie reminds us of the opposite.
👉 That love matters more than achievement.
👉 That presence matters more than perfection.
👉 That being yourself—fully, imperfectly, honestly—is more than enough.
So today, on this Tuesday, I want to pass that reminder on to you:
You don’t have to wait for a crisis to start living with intention.
You don’t have to earn your worth.
You already are enough—right here, right now.
Let the laundry wait. Let the inbox be full.
Look up. Breathe.
Choose what matters.
If you’ve never read Tuesdays with Morrie, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s gentle, powerful, and exactly the kind of truth that stays with you.
And if you’ve read it before—maybe today’s the day to pick it up again.
Some stories are worth returning to.
With love,
Joanna
