Respect starts with you.

For a long time, I accepted less than I deserved—
Less kindness.
Less consideration.
Less respect.

I let people cross boundaries I never actually agreed to.
I stayed quiet to “keep the peace.”
I tolerated things that didn’t feel good, because I didn’t want to upset anyone.

But deep down, it wasn’t peace I was keeping.
It was discomfort.
Resentment.
Self-abandonment.

And one day, it hit me:
The respect I was craving from others was the very thing I wasn’t giving to myself.

So I started doing the uncomfortable thing:
✨ Speaking up.
✨ Saying no.
✨ Holding boundaries.
✨ Refusing to shrink just to stay liked.

And little by little, everything started to change.

Because here’s the truth:
Respect isn’t something you have to earn through perfection.
It’s something you already deserve simply by being human.

You are allowed to expect respect in every space you enter—especially the one inside your own mind.

So today, I want you to ask yourself:
Are you treating yourself with the same level of respect you want from others?

And if not… today is the perfect day to start.
